With an aim to provide integrated and holistic health services to trucking community and the allied population, Apollo Tyres Foundation (ATF) is running health intervention at 31 locations across country. The project is operational since the year 2000 and health services provided include HIV screening, vision care and prevention and identification of non-communicable diseases such as diabetes and high blood pressure at the transhipment hubs

  • ATF started its journey by joining USAID Challenge TB project in 2017, they started TB integration as a pilot in Delhi.
  • ATF joined the corporate TB pledge in 2019 as a platinum member and expanded TB intervention at 12 locations.
  • ATF graduated to diamond level in August 2020 and expand project activities to all 31 locations. The national level case finding campaign to cover all these locations will be launched on September 25.
  • ATF is also providing microscopy services at Agra and Gwalior in partnership with government. Three more DMCs in Delhi, Guwahati and Mundra Port to be started from 25 September.
tb free transshipment locations campaign

This campaign is being proposed in light of the gap that is being created in TB notification due to COVID-19. Campaign aims to intensify outreach and communication with truckers and migrants at their workplaces/Transhipment Locations (TSLs). It is a 15 days long campaign to be launched on September 25, 2020 on World Lung Health Day and continue till 9 October.
