The CTP Secretariat in association with Haryana State CSR Trust and State TB Cell organised a webinar namely “Virtual Corporate Consultation on TB” on February 18, 2022, with an aim of appraising the corporates on magnitude of TB, its socio-economic impact and how they can actively contribute to the program through TB related interventions at their workplace and communities by joining the Corporate TB Pledge. The event had around 50 participants including representatives from 20 corporates including Paramount Products, Jaispring, United Way of Delhi, Qure AI, BD, Medanta, Qiagen, Fujifilm etc.
Mr.Nishant Yadav IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Gurugram graced the event and urged corporates in Gurugram to come forward and support the national programme in eliminating TB. The webinar entailed technical sessions to sensitise audience on TB, its scenario in India, government services and schemes, orientation on Corporate TB Pledge initiative and TB and workplaces. The event also showcased two models of corporate engagement in TB. Dr.Bornali Dutta from Medanta- The Medicity, showcased their Mission TB free Haryana model and Mr.Arindam Goswami from Adani Group, spoke about the TB and Workplace intervention being undertaken by them at their Mundra facility in Gujarat.
Other dignitaries present at the event included Dr. Rajendra Joshi, DDG(TB) Central TB Division, Dr. Rajesh Raju, State TB Officer – NTEP Haryana, Dr. Virender Yadav, Civil Surgeon – Gurugram, Shri.Gaurav Singh, Regional Head and Addl. Chief Executive Officer-PMU – Haryana CSR Advisory Board, Mr. Arvind Kumar from USAID/India, Dr.K.S.Sachdeva, Regional Director-The Union and Dr.Keshav Sharma, District TB Officer – Gurugram.
