TB Awareness

TB Awareness

Integrate TB awareness into your existing community based interventions. Reach out  to communities, workplaces and masses to generate awareness about TB, establish TB as a curable disease, reduce stigma related to it and increase knowledge about free services offered by Government for TB prevention and care.

Community focussed awareness campaigns for increasing awareness about TB symptoms, promoting early diagnosis and treatment and encouraging treatment adherence, is key to addressing  the TB challenge in India. The National Program requires support in reaching out to the unreached. The Corporate sector with its connect with workers and communities can play a vital role in generating  awareness, facilitating early identification of  TB patients and supporting their  treatment.

An integrated community based intervention focussing on mass awareness on TB including use of IEC materials, training of ASHA workers, use of mid-media, wall paintings etc can be supported in an adopted geography.  Corporate sector can adopt village, block or a district to fund programmes aimed at generating awareness based TB.

Invest to Eliminate TB

Despite TB being a curable disease and free of cost treatment being provided by the Government, India continues to have the highest incidence of TB in the world along with highest TB mortality. Prime Minister Mr Narendra Modi committed to eliminate TB in India by 2025.  It is an ambitious target and there is a need for increased investments and partnerships by all sectors including the corporate sector to contribute to the goal of making India TB free. These partnerships will not only save lives but also help your brand gain the visibility it deserves as it cares for its people and communities,  and support interventions with measurable outcomes.

Delay in accurate diagnosis of tuberculosis in India is also due to untrained first line of contact, be it allopaths or alternative medicine.
